Parish Notes 3rd December 2006

FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT

Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary: Friday the 8th December is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is a Holyday of obligation to attend Mass. Masses: 6.30p.m Vigil, 10a.m and 11.30a.m.

STAINED GLASS RESTORATION FUND: The monthly collection for the Stained Glass Restoration Fund will take place after all the Masses today.

St. Vincent de Paul The Annual Collection for the Society of St Vincent de Paul will take place at all the Masses next Sunday 10th December. It will replace the SHARE collection.

Carol Service: There will be a lunch-time Carol Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Foundation of PEATA, the organization for people and Pets, in St. Joseph's Church on Tuesday 5th December at 1.30 pm. Our parishioners and friends will also be very welcome. See the posters in the Church porches.

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT will take place on Tuesday 5th December from 5p.m to 8p.m. It will conclude with the Reflective Hour of Prayer at 7p.m.

THE ADVENT RETREAT: This Retreat for Ministers of the Eucharist and Ministers of the Word will be held on today Sunday 3rd December from 2:15 - 6:00pm at Dunardagh Blackrock. Retreat will be given by Fr Michael Duggan C.S.Sp. All Ministers are requested to attend.

PARISH BOOKSHOP A Large Selection of Advent Calendars now available. Also available Christmas Cards and Candles.

Coffee Morning There will be a coffee morning and Cake Sale in the Parish Centre today Sunday 3rd Dec. Proceeds go to St Joseph's Young Priests Society.

Our Lady's Hospice Harold's Cross: Light up a Life Ceremony will be held on today Sunday 3rd Dec at 4pm. Sponsor a light 5 euros. Phone 1850 660606.

Recent Deaths Paddy McHale, Silchester Park, Kathleen McDonagh, Sallynoggin late of O'Donnell Gardens, Michael Kelly, Eden Villas, John Donohue, Glasthule Buildings. May they rest in peace.
