Twenty-fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time Wed 27th Sep - St. Vincent de Paul Fri 29th Sep - Ss. Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, archangels Sat 30th Sep - St. Jerome Mass Times: Please note that for the months of September and October there will be no 7.30 a.m. Mass on weekdays nor 9.00 a.m. Mass on Sundays. CROSSCARE: Many thanks to all who contributed so very generously to last weekend’s collection, which raised €5288 (an increase of 30% on 2005 !) Month’s Mind: for the late Canon Lorcan Foley, P.E., will be celebrated at 11.30 a.m Mass this Sunday (24th September). Blessing of Pets: The annual blessing of Pets will take place on Sunday 1st October during 11.30 a.m. Mass. There will be no 12.30 a.m. Mass. Lectio Divina: The Bible Study group, Lectio Divina meets on Wednesdays at 8.00 p.m. in the Presentation Brothers Residence. New members welcome. Life Ascending: A lay movement of the Church for elderly people, meets at 10.45 a.m. on Thursday mornings in the Parish Centre. Please come and join us –you would be very welcome. Apostolic Workers: meet Thursdays at 2.00 p.m. in the Parish Centre to make altar linen for the Missions. If you can do any sewing, you would be very welcome to join us. Knitting Group: will reopen on Tuesday 26th September at 3 p.m. in the Parish Centre. Senior Citizens Club: meets Wednesdays at 2.30 p.m. in the Parish Centre. New members welcone. Monthly Coffee Morning: as the Month’s Mind Mass for the late Canon Lorcan Foley, P.E., takes place this weekend, the monthly coffee morning (which is usually held on the last Sunday of the month) will be held instead on Sunday 8th October. It will be in aid of the work of Fr Robbie McCabe in Turkana, Kenya. Baptisms: We welcome into our Christian family: Mel Patrick Reynolds, Tia Harford, Ellie Saunders and Aliyah Ciuca who were recently baptised in St Joseph’s Church. Please pray for the repose of the souls of Connie Williams, Albert Road and Aine Walsh, Ballygihan. May they rest in peace. |
