Fri 8th Sep. The Birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Stained Glass Restoration Fund: The monthly collection for the Stained Glass Restoration Fund will take place outside the Church TODAY after all the Masses.

Family Mass Group: The family Mass group returns to the 10.30 Celebration of Mass on Sunday, 10th September. Children from 2nd to 6th class meet in St Joseph’s Parish Centre each Sunday at 9.30 am. Everyone gets an opportunity to participate in the Mass: processing, reading, singing and drama. There will also be social activities throughout the year, including art & craft nights, carol singing, Christmas pageant, etc. All new members welcome. Just arrive Sunday at 9.30 am in the Parish Centre. (New 1st Class members will be welcome to join us in January 2007.) Registration Forms for new and current members will be available at the entrance of the church, or can be downloaded here.

Sunday Saint’s Youth Choir: will be resuming singing at 12.30 Mass on Sunday 10th September. Rehearsals will start on Friday 8th September at 5pm as usual. Boys and girls (1st Year upwards) interested in joining can ring Clodagh 2803067. You will be very welcome and you don’t have to be an opera singer!

St Joseph’s Young Priests Society: The monthly meeting of the Glasthule Branch will be held in the Parish Centre on Friday next, 8th September at 7 pm. New members will be most welcome.

Lectio Divina: The Bible Study group, Lectio Divina, will resume again on Wednesday 6th September at 8 p.m. in the Presentation College. All welcome.

Coffee Morning: Many thanks to all who supported last week’s Coffee Morning in aid of the work of Sr Brid, a Franciscan sister, in Kenya “Live in Hope” project for Aids Sufferers, which raised 900 euro.

Evening Courses: at DunLaoghaire College of Further Education, Cumberland Street. Enrolments took place from Monday 28th August, 9.30 am – 4.00 pm; and will continue on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 7.00 – 8.00 pm from 4th September. Masses Please note:For the month of September, there will still be no weekly 7.30 am Mass, and no 9 am Mass on Sundays.

Congratulations: to those who celebrated their weddings this summer; Dean Rogerson and Sharon Smyth, Gerard Cummins and Sharon Wolfe, Gavin Denn and Eibhlin Dowley, and Colin Murphy and Sandra Kelly.

Please pray for the repose of the souls of Canon Lorcan Foley, P.E., Glasthule, Owen Hammond, Eden Road, and Vincent Doyle, Findlater Street. May they rest in peace.
