Canon Lorcan Foley: Parish Priest of Glasthule 1979 – 1995 and Pastor Emeritus of Glasthule 1995 – 2006, died on Wednesday 23rd August Requiescat in Pace. Remains will be received by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin today (Sunday 27th August) at 7.30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Family Residence, Roebuck Road, Dublin 14. Funeral Mass on Monday 28th August at 11.30, followed by interment in DeansGrange Cemetery immediately afterwards.

Dublin Diocesan Pilgramage to Lourdes Invalid Fund: Today is the last day of the collection for supporting the cost of sending invalids to Lourdes.

Sr Hyacintha, FMSA: Sr Hyacintha (Mollie Hudson), Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa, from Glasthu;e celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of her profession at Mount Oliver, Dundalk on 26th August. We thank God for her vocation and for her many years working on the Missions in Africa, and wish her well in the future.

Book Sale: The Dr Tom Dooley Fund (Medical Aid to the Developing World) wish to thank all those who supported the book sale last weekend, which raised €1080.

Coffee Morning: TODAY (27th August) in the Parish Centre in aid of the work of Sr Breege, a Franciscan sister, in Kenya – “Love and Hope” project for Aids Sufferers.

Baptisms: We welcome into our Christian family David Michael McGovern, Ciara Ann Simpsom, Ella Kathleen McGoldrick, Kate Ann O’Callaghan-Ring, Adam Leo Murphy and Christopher Efe Dunne who were recently baptised in St Joseph’s Church.

Evening Courses: at Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education, Cumberland Street. Enrolments will take place from Monday 28th August, 9.30 am – 4.00 pm; and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 7.00 – 8.00 pm from 4th September.
