Sun 5th Mar - First Sunday of Lent Tue 7th Mar - Sts Perpetua and Felicity, martyrs Wed 8th Mar - St Senan, bishop and St John of God, religious Thu 9th Mar - St Frances of Rome, religious Sat 11th Mar - St Aengus, bishop and abbot ACCORD: We thank you for your contribution to ACCORD, which amounted to € 2,957. Parish Mission: We were very pleased by the large attendance last Tuesday at the commissioning ceremony of those who have offered their homes for the Eucharistic Prayer meetings in the week prior to the Parish Mission, 20th to 24th March. On this coming Tuesday, 7th March, there will be two commissioning ceremonies at 8 pm, for those who have volunteered to deliver the brochures about the Mission to the homes, and for the Eucharistic Ministers who will bring the Blessed Sacrament to the homes for the Eucharistic Prayer meetings. All parishioners are welcome to come along. We need more volunteers to deliver the brochures. Keep up the spirit of preparation ! Readings for Lent: A range of Lenten material is now available from the Parish Bookshop – interesting booklets and pamphlets to suit all ages and price ranges. Many new titles. The bookshop is open after Masses on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Come and see – support your parish. Glasthule 34th Parish Pilgrimage to Lourdes: 30th August 2006. This tour is operated by Joe Walsh Tours (licence number T.O 052). Limited number of seats. Eucharistic Adoration: We could still do with a few more people from 1.00 – 2.30 pm each day. Perhaps you could fill the gap during Lent? Annual Table Quiz: Parents, Family and Friends Association, St John of God Carmona Services, Dunmore House, are holding their Annual Table Quiz Night TONIGHT, Sunday 5th March at 8 pm, Fitzpatrick’s Castle Hotel, Killiney. Tickets € 7.50 each, four per table. Proceeds in aid of refurbishment of ‘Kildarton’, the premises for Early Services Programme for Babies and Pre-School children attending Carmona Services. Coffee Morning: Last Sunday’s Coffee Morning raised € 600 for Fr Shay Cullen to help Mud Slide Victims in the Philippines. Thank you for your very kind generosity. Next Coffee Morning takes place on March 26th. Please come along. Coffee Shop: Tea/coffee is served in the Parish Centre after 10 Mass, Monday - Friday. Come and meet your friends, you would be most welcome. An Invitation: ‘Come and see’ Jesus said. Are you stressed, too busy, no time for yourself? Come and join us on Tuesdays 7 – 8 pm for Reflective Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament and allow Jesus to refresh you and restore your peace. He is waiting for you to come.
