Feast of the Immaculate Conception of our Blessed Lady Thursday 8th December is a Holyday of Obligation to attend Mass. Masses at 6.30 pm Vigil (Wednesday 7th), 7.30 am, 10.00 am and 11.30 am.

St Paul’s, Church of Ireland (Adelaide Road) is holding an ecumenical Service Sunday 11th December at 7 pm in the Church. This is an ‘all age’ celebration of Advent and Christmas with Advent hymns, carols, readings and drama from young people. The Sunday Saints Youth Choir from our own parish will be taking part. Everyone welcome!

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament: Due to the Harold School practice for the Christmas pageant in the Church on Monday (5th) and Friday (9th), there will be no Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 1 pm to 2 pm.

An Invitation: ‘Come and see’ Jesus said. Are you stressed, too busy, no time for yourself? Come and join us on Tuesdays 7 – 8 pm for Reflective Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament and allow Jesus to refresh you and restore your peace. He is waiting for you to come. A special time to pray in the Parish for the Parish.

Eucharistic Adoration: Do you feel that you should do something extra for Advent to prepare for Christmas? How about spending some time before the Blessed Sacrament speaking to the Lord. We could do with more people between 12 noon and 2 pm.

Parish Bookshop: Have you looked into your parish bookshop lately? This year there is an extra special display of Advent calendars, candles and Christmas books for children and adults. There are lovely gifts suitable for all ages to help bring home the real meaning of the season: an advent calendar to open each day, a Christmas story book – these can help your child to learn and love the real message of Christmas. Call in today and support your parish. The bookshop is open after Sunday Masses, and also on Fridays and Saturdays after 10 am Mass. Orders can be taken.

ISANDS (Irish Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) Christmas Service of Remembrance in St Nicholas of Myra Church, Francis Street, Dublin, on Sunday 4th December at 7.30 pm.

Peata: Lunch-time Carol Service in aid of Peata Therapy Dogs, Christ Church Cathedral, 13th December 1.15 pm. Carols will be sung by Cathedral Girls’ Choir. The appeal will be made by Fr Brian O’Sullivan.

St John of God Carmona Services: The Artisans – arts and crafts exhibition, Town Hall, DunLaoghaire, 5th – 10th December – All items on exhibtion will be for sale. Tuesday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Saturday 12.00 pm to 5.00 pm.

Christmas Day Lunch: The 19th Annual Gala Lunch, Cabaret and Song Contest for people living on their own will be held in the Club Room, Blackrock College Rugby Club, Stradbrook, from 10.30 am tp 3.00 pm. Free transport by Ed Kenny Coaches, leaving Glasthule car park at 11.20 approx. Tel: 2804776
