Tuesday, 4 October - St. Francis of Assisi Friday, 7 October - Our Lady of the Rosary New Parish Website: www.stjosephsglasthule.com has been launched. We hope it becomes a valuable resource for the parish. Crosscare: We thank you for your contributions to Crosscare which amounted to 4,078. Stained Glass Windows Fund: The monthly collection for the Stained Glass Windows Restoration Fund will take place in the Church grounds this Sunday, 2 October. Rome 1985-2005: In 1980 a group of young pilgrims cycled to Rome to thank the Pope for his visit to Ireland in 1979. They were accompanied by a back-up crew. The group arrived in Rome in August and were privileged to have a private audience with Pope John Paul II in Castlegandolfo. Next Saturday, 8 October 2005 at 4.00 p.m., Fr. Paddy Lyons OSB - a Curate in Glasthule at that time, who himself cycled all the way - will celebrate Mass in St. Joseph's to mark the Silver Jubilee of that pilgrimage. All are welcome to attend this special celebration particularly those who can remember the occasion and who may have had a part to play in the success of the pilgrimage. St. Joseph's Young Priests Society: The next meeting of St. Joseph's Young Priests Society will be held at 7.00 p.m. on Friday, 7 October in the Parish Centre. New members are always welcome. Ministers of the Eucharist: A meeting of the Ministers of the Eucharist will be held at 8.00 p.m. on Monday, 10 October 2005 in the Parish Centre. All Ministers are requested to attend - Martin McNamara Sale of Work for Fr. Shay Cullen: next Sunday, 9 October in the Parish Centre. Enquiries or donations to Elizabeth Haskins @ 2801062 'Cherishing the Evening of Life': A pastoral letter from the Irish Catholic Bishops' Conference entitled 'Cherishing the Evening of Life' highlights A 'Day for Life' 2005 which is celebrated on 2 October.
