Fourth Sunday of Easter Wedn 16th Apr - St Bernadette Soubirous Fri 18th Apr - St Laserian, Bishop Vocations Sunday: Today is Vocations Sunday and marks the beginning of Vocations Awareness Week and a Special ‘Year of Vocation’ in Ireland. An opportunity for us all to reflect on our Baptism calling to live a life of grace and holiness and an opportunity to pray for and foster vocations to the priesthood. Students for the Priesthood: Next Sunday there will be a Special Collection to support the Formation of Students for the Priesthood. This Collection replaces the Share Collection. Your support is very much appreciated. Accord: Accord Dublin urgently needs men and women to deliver our Marriage Preparation Courses. We would like to be able to offer a Marriage Preparation course to all couples who approach us. Unfortunately we can only meet half of the number of couples marrying in the Archdiocese. Perhaps you are interested or know someone who might be suitable for this work. Information Evening: On Tuesday 22nd April at 8:00pm at Accord, 39 Harcourt St, Dublin 2. Stained Glass Restoration Fund: Last week’s Collection for the Stained Glass Restoration Fund amounted to €1,061. Thanks to all those who contributed so generously. Eucharistic Ministers: A new group of Eucharistic Ministers will begin a preparation course on Thursday 24th April at 8:00pm. Would you like to serve your parish as a Eucharistic Minister, If so please contact Fr Kennedy at 2800403. Simon Community: There will be a Church Gate Collection on behalf of the Simon Community next Sunday 20thApril. Dublin Simon Community works to prevent and address homelessness in Dublin. They provide services at all stages of homlessness and enable people to move to a place they can call home. Their aim is to address the underlying causes of homelessness and support people in moving from the chaos of sleeping rough back to regaining independence. For some service users this support starts with a hot cup of tea or soup, a friendly face and a safe place to spend the night. Please give as generously as you can to this cause. Recently Deceased: Your Prayers are requested for the soul of Jem Mooney, Sallynoggin. May he rest in peace. |
