Fifth Sunday of Lent Tue 11th March St Aengus, Bishop and Abbot Fri 14th March St Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sat 15th March St Patrick, Bishop, Principle Patron of Ireland Archbishop Martin: The Archbishop, Most Rev Diarmuid Martin, will be visiting our Church today. He will concelebrate the 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. Masses, and meet parishioners after the 10:15 am, 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. Masses He will be very welcome on this, his first visit as Archbishop to our Parish. Eucharistic Prayer Meetings: Will take place from Monday to Friday of the coming week in the homes of twenty-two Parishioners. Those who could not participate in this prayerful exercise but would like to be associated could consider during this week before Holy Week visiting our Church and praying before the Blessed Sacrament which is exposed each day from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm. Church Cleaning: We urgently need more help to give the Church a special cleaning for Easter. If you can help, please come to the Church on Wednesday 19th March at 7:00 pm. Apostolic Workers: Meet every Thursday 2:30 – 4:00 pm in the Parish Centre. Heart to Hand: The “Heart to Hand” Charity is appealing to the generosity of the people in the parish to donate food (non perishable) when they visit the Church on Good Friday. This food will go to feed the “poorest of the poor” in Albania and Romania. Senior Citizens: Meet every Wednesday 2:30-4:00 pm in the Parish Centre. New members are always welcome. Parish Bookshop: There is now a varied selection of cards available in our bookshop. We have St Patrick’s Day Cards, First Communion, Confirmation and Easter Cards. Mass Cards and Mass Bouquet Cards are always available. Baptisms: We welcome into our Christian Community Jack Feighan, Charlie Hennigan, Aimee Kelsey, James McCullagh, Ellen Melia, Amy Melia, Eve White, Aisling Johnston, Reuben Hall, Julie Potter-Cogan, Ellen Campbell, Martha Ryan, Layla Gavigan, Aislinn Kelly- Gallagher and Méabh McFadden. Harold School: Congratulations to the pupils of Harold School who made their First Confession last Saturday and to the pupils of 6th Class who celebrated the Ceremony of Light in preparation for their Confirmation. Recently Deceased: Your prayers are requested for the soul of Fr Des Crotty, Diocese of New Orleans (formerly Villarea Park). May he rest in peace. |
