Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time Tue 5th Feb - St Agatha, Virgin and Martyr Wed 6th Feb - Ash Wednesday, Day of Fast and Abstinence Thu 7th Feb - St Mel, Bishop Stained Glass Restoration Fund: The monthly collection for the Stained Glass Restoration Fund takes place after all Masses this weekend. Lourdes 1858 – 2008: (150 Years) On Monday, 11th February, the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, there will be a special Mass at 7:30pm. The Rosary will be recited before Mass. Our Lady appeared to St Bernadette for the first time on this day 150 years ago. It is World Day of the Sick also. The Sacrament of the Sick will be administrated to the Sick and Elderly during the Mass. After Mass there will be Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and a short period of quiet prayer. We hope as many as possible will honour the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on this special day. At least 30,000 pilgrims are expected in Lourdes for the 11th February. Lectio Divina: A Group discussion of the Readings for the forthcoming Sunday is held every Wednesday night in The Presentation Brothers’ House opposite St Joseph’s Church at 8pm. This meeting is especially recommended for the Readers at the Masses. Transport home is available for those who desire it. All welcome. St Joseph’s Young Priests’ Society: The Society wishes to thank all those who attended the Coffee Morning held last Sunday which raised €614. The Annual Collection for Accord: Last week’s collection amounted to €2,193. Thanks to all those who contributed so generously. An Taisce: An illustrated talk on the Martello Towers of Dublin Bay by Colin Scudds will be held tomorrow evening 4th February at 8pm in St Patrick’s Hall, Monkstown. Admission is €5 to include refreshments. This talk has been organised by Dun Laoghaire Branch of an Taisce. Coffee Shop: We are open Monday to Friday after 10am Mass in the Parish Centre next to the Church. Recent Deaths: Mrs Mary Hennigan Dun Laoghaire and Darragh McStay Clonkeen Dun Laoghaire.
