Third Sunday in Ordinary Time Mon 28th Jan - St Thomas Aquinas, Priest and Doctor of the Church Wed 30th Jan - St Aidan, Bishop, Bl Margaret Ball and Francis Taylor, Martyrs Thu 31st Jan - St John Bosco, Priest Fri 1st Feb - St Brigid, Virgin Secondary Patron of Ireland The Annual Collection of Accord: The Diocesan Agency for Marriage and the Family will be made at all Masses this weekend 26th and 27th January 2008. The collection for Accord will replace the usual Share Collection. ACCCORD DUBLIN THROUGHOUT THE DIOCESE OFFERS: - Marriage Preparation Courses - Counselling for couples and individuals experiencing difficulties in their relationships. - Marital Sexual Therapy - A Relationship and Sexuality Programme in Schools Stained Gloss Restoration Fund: The monthly collection for the Stained Glass Restoration Fund takes place at all Masses next weekend. St Vincent de Paul Clothing Appeal: Appeal is for clean, good quality clothes - bed clothes, curtains, shoes etc. Collection will take place after all Masses this weekend. Presentation Brothers' Associates: The Presentation Brothers and their Associates joined with the Glasthule Parish Pastoral Council to provide the three days of "Waiting in Joyful hope" during Advent. The Presentation Brothers Associates are men and women who meet once a month in the Presentation Brothers' House. The next meeting is on tomorrow night (Monday 28th January) at 8pm. It will focus on giving information about the group. There will be a welcome for anyone who attends. WANTED NEW CHOIR MEMBERS: Do you like to sing and would be interested in enhancing the Mass Liturgy, simply come along to the Parish Centre on Thursdays at 8pm. All voices welcome, especially tenors! Lectio Divina: A Group discussion of the Readings for the forthcoming Sunday is held every Wednesday night in The Presentation Brothers' House opposite St Joseph's Church at 8pm. This meeting is especially recommended for the Readers at the Masses. Transport home is available for those who desire it All welcome. St Joseph's Young Priest's Society: The next meeting of the Parish Branch will take place on Friday next 1st February at 7:00pm in the Parish Centre. New members will be very welcome. Eucharistic Ministers: The February Roster is available for collection in the sacristy. Recent Death: Your prayers are requested for the soul of Máire McHale, Killiney. May she rest in peace. |
