34th Sunday in Ordinary Time Sun 25th Nov: St Catherine of Alexandria, Virgin and Martyr and St Colman, Bishop Tue 27th Nov: St Fergal, Bishop and Missionary Fri 30th Nov: St Andrew, Apostle feast Weekday Masses will be at 7.30am and 10am Stained Glass Restoration Fund: The monthly collection for the Stained Glass Restoration Fund takes place after all Masses next Weekend. Mass for the Dead: The Mass for those whose funerals took place in St Joseph's during the past year will take place on Saturday next December 1st at 6.30pm. All family members and friends will be very welcome. Waiting in Joyful Hope; There will be three days of Prayer and Reflection in Preparation for Christmas here in St Joseph’s Church Glasthule from Monday 10th December to Wednesday 12th December. The Speakers will be: Senator Ronan Mullen “Christmas with the Celtic Tiger” 7.30pm Monday 10th December Jacki and Tom Ascough – Parents of a Young Family “Christmas as a Family” 7.30pm Tuesday 11th December Brother Martin Kenneally Congregation Leader-Presentation Brothers “With Joyful Hope” 7.30pm Wednesday 12th December Presentation College Past Pupils: The Annual Mass for the Deceased Brothers. Teachers and Past Pupils of the College will be held today Sunday 25th November at 11.30am. Christmas Cards: We now have a nice selection of Christmas Cards and Calendars available from our Bookshop. Eucharistic Ministers: The December and Christmas Rotas are now available in the Sacristy. It is important to collect these Rotas and put the dates into your calendar. Music in St Joseph's Church Today. This afternoon at 4pm, there will be a short recital of consoling music for the disconsolate time of year. Soprano Elisabeth Goell and one organist Ronán Murray will perform Sacred songs pertinent to the month of November. Composers include Bach, Dowland, O'Riada and many others. There is no set admission charge, only a voluntary donation at the door. All are welcome. ISANDS: Christmas Service of Remembrance in St Nicholas of Myra Church Francis St Dublin 8 on Sunday next 2nd Dec at 7.30pm. Lourdes Jubilee 1858 - 2008: We wish to notify everyone that next year is jubilee Year in Lourdes. Lourdes is celebrating 150 years since Our Lady first appeared there. Due to the huge demand for rooms next year we are limited to 80 seats, 62 of which are already gone. If you are interested in going to Lourdes, please let us know now. If you have not been with us recently why not return on this Very Special Occasion? The Trip takes place from Thurs Aug 28th to Thurs Sept 4th 2008.
