33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time Thu 22nd Nov - St Cecilia, Virgin and Martyr Fri 23rd Nov - St Columban, Abbot and Missionary Sat 24th Nov - Ss Andrew Dung-Lac, Priest, and Companions, Martyrs Weekday Mass will be at 10am this week. Mass for the Dead: The Mass for those whose funerals took place in St Joseph’s during the past year will take place on Saturday 1st December at 6.30pm. All family members and friends will be very welcome. Waiting in Joyful Hope; There will be three days of Prayer and Reflection in Preparation for Christmas here in St Joseph’s Church Glasthule from Monday 10th December to Wednesday 12th December. The Speakers will be: Senator Ronan Mullen “Christmas with the Celtic Tiger” 7.30pm Monday 10th December Jacki and Tom Ascough – Parents of a Young Family “Christmas as a Family” 7.30pm Tuesday 11th December Brother Martin Kenneally Congregation Leader-Presentation Brothers “With Joyful Hope” 7.30pm Wednesday 12th December Catholic Youth Care: The annual collection for Catholic Youth Care which was held last Sunday amounted to €2,082. Thanks to all who contributed so generously. Presentation College Past Pupils: The Annual Mass for the Deceased Brothers, Teachers and Past Pupils of the College will be next Sunday 25th November at 11.30am. Bric a Brac Sale: Last week’s Sale raised €1,500 for the Stained Glass Window Fund. Thanks to all those who contributed so generously. Readers of the Word and Eucharistic Ministers: This year’s Retreat for the Eucharistic Ministers and the Readers of the Word will be held on next Sunday 25th November at Dunardagh Blackrock at 2pm and led by Fr Hugh Fagan C.SSp.. All Readers of the Word and Eucharistic Ministers are encouraged to attend. It is an occasion of Spiritual Renewal and a chance to keep in touch with your fellow Ministers and Readers. Anyone who is unable to come would they please telephone Sheila Mc Gloughlin Tel 2801843 Altar List of the Dead: Names for the Altar List of the Dead for the coming year should be placed in the box near the Altar Rails. Sheets to list the names of the dead and envelopes are available at the back of the Church. Masses will be offered for the Altar List of the Dead every First Friday. Coffee Morning: Mrs Haskins wishes to thank all those who attended her October Coffee Morning which raised €750 for the Children in Need Appeal. Coffee Morning:This month’s Coffee Morning will be held in the Parish Centre after all Masses next Sunday. Proceeds go to Dublin’s Homeless. Please give generously to this worthy cause. Dun Laoghaire Borough Historical Society: Meet next Wednesday 21 November at 8pm in the Kingston Hotel. Lecture by John Lennon: Subject ” Dundrum more than just a Shopping Centre”. |
