Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary:
Wednesday 15th August is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass times: 6.30 pm Vigil, 10.00 am and 11.30 am.

Every year on the feast of the Assumption the Rosary is recited and Benediction takes place at the Statue of Our Lady Queen of Peace at Eden Villas. The statue was erected in 1940 during World War II. We invite as many as possible of our Parishioners and friends to attend at Eden Villas at 8.00 p.m, when we will ardently Pray for Peace in our troubled world.

St Joseph’s Parish Pastoral Centre: Due to the inclement weather on Sunday last, the Site for the new centre was Blessed from within the Church during the 11.30 am Mass. The first Sod was turned on Monday last after the 10.00 am Mass. We are pleased to announce that the work of building the Centre commenced on Tuesday last, 7th August. During the building the number of car park spaces in front of the Church will be greatly reduced.

Stained Glass Restoration Fund: Last week’s collection for the Stained Glass Restoration Fund amounted to €1,070.00. Thanks to all those who contributed so generously.

Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage Invalid Fund: Contributions are being taken in the Church Porch after the weekday 10 o’clock Mass and after Masses on Sundays.

Rotas now available in the Sacristy: Please remember to collect your Rotas which are now available in the Sacristy for Ministers of the Eucharist and Sunday Mass Readers.

Nationwide: Sandycove and surrounding areas will feature on Nationwide R.T.E 1 on Monday next 13th August at 7 pm.
